I wanted to design a shower system with integrated grab bars because of the growing need for discreet support solutions for elderly and pre-elderly individuals. My motivation stemmed from the desire to provide support without making users feel self-conscious or stigmatized. This problem was particularly challenging since integrating grab bars into a shower system without compromising on style and ease of use required innovative design solutions. As the project lead, my role involved conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the development of the Laconic Shower System to provide subtle yet effective support for users while maintaining a sleek and modern design aesthetic.
