The Kosmos Bag Collection is a premium leather line designed for the Tern River brand, a sustainable fashion label. Inspired by the cosmos, the collection embodies the beauty and vastness of the universe in its design elements. The project aimed to create a series of luxury bags that reflect the timeless elegance and sustainability ethos of the brand, catering to environmentally conscious consumers seeking high-quality, ethically sourced products.
Overview
Kosmos is a design studio project conducted in collaboration with Tern River, a budding brand based in Bangalore. The project's objective was to create a collection of three tote bags that reflect the ethos of both brands—sustainable, elegant, and inspired by the beauty of the cosmos.

Tern River Décor and Trading is a sustainable lifestyle brand, we work and develop only with sustainable products and artisans who committed their lives to green living.

Why leather?
Design Process
Pure leather, like good wood, is a living material. It ages and changes taking on different characteristics over the years. And it lasts forever.
Organic materials like leather are more environmentally friendly because they do not require any chemical processing or waste water discharge. In addition, organic materials like leather are better for your health because they do not contain any toxic chemicals found in traditional materials like plastic and synthetic fabrics.
Almost all the leather varieties we use are tanned using natural tannin and coloured with mostly vegetable dyes to keep the process as environmentally responsible as possible.

We want to change the way people shop by providing them with alternatives that align not only with their aesthetics, but also with their sense of responsibility towards those who create the products they may buy and to our increasingly fragile planet.
Sustainability is the basis and consequence of our philosophy. We are proud to say that the majority of our creations are made lovingly by a single artisan, from start to finish. One piece at a time.
